Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino (born July 4, 1982) is a native of West New Britain, in Staten Island New York.

However, most of his youth was spent in Manalapan Township, New Jersey where he finished up his high school education. According to his biography, until he was cast for the show "The Jersey Shore" he was an assistant manager of a fitness center in Staten Island.
